Dear Sara and Brian I just wanted to say thank you for taking the time to give me advice, over the phone, about the mold on my ceiling and whether I needed to have the roofer who put on my new roof put back the ridge vent. I appreciate the impartial opinion. He is coming next week to fix it. I hope that does the trick.

Quick Service This review covers our new roof (installed June 2018) and our experience with Brian McLeran over several years, doing inspections of the previous 30-year-old roof. First - Brian won't sell you something you don't need. We have appreciated his honest evaluations. Second - Brian takes the necessary time to review the job site and protect mature landscaping. Brian and his crew managers walked our property three separate times before starting work to set up protocols for minimizing damage. Third - when there is an issue (a clogged downspout we noticed after the first heavy rain) the office manager, Sara, facilitates a quick service call to get the problem solved. The recent roofing job (house and garage) took two days, with a lot of people working. They were all polite and professional. We are completely satisfied.

Great! McLeran Roofing is great. They are a small family business that does not hire just for the season. I have used them many times since I grew up in San Rafael.

Top Notch! This Company is top notch. They did an excellent job. The workers were courteous, happy and accommodating. The expertise was excellent. They arrived at 7:30 am or so, worked extremely fast and finished in 2 days. Adam was their supervisor and he did an excellent job of having materials arrive on time and explaining every day exactly what was happening. McLeran Roofing is fair in pricing and using quality material.

Strongly Recommend After doing a thorough review of the roofing contractors around Marin, we selected McLeran. Brian was, by far, the most thorough in his approach to the bid, and it is very clear his broad and deep experience in roofing will result in a roof that will last. He patiently answered my most basic questions about everything from the materials we were considering to the workmanship and components, and it was the blend of his knowledge, honesty and the thoroughness of his approach led us to select his company for a full new roof. I'll post a follow-up once the new roof is on, but if you're having a new roof installed (or an old one repaired), I strongly recommend going with McLeran.

Great company... McLeran Roofing is a great company. When we purchased our house 5 years ago, we knew we'd need a new roof soon. After being here 2 years, we started gathering bids until we had 5. McLeran's was the most competitive by a significant amount, but not only that: all the other companies said we needed to replace the roof right away, whereas McLeran said we could get a few more years out of it if we did some very inexpensive fixes. We followed their advice, invested a few hundred dollars in extending the life of the old roof, and after 3 years, bit the bullet and hired McLeran to do the job. Brian, the owner, and Sara, his right-hand woman, showed up the week before to walk the property and understand some of our concerns. The next week a large crew of great guys showed up, and within three days, finished the job. Every day the job was left extremely clean, the crew was very polite, hard-working and respectful of the property. Now we have a wonderful new roof. When the job was over, Brian inspected the roof to make sure it was okay -- it was -- and we paid him. We could not be happier with the job they did. McLeran Roofing is a wonderful company.

I also asked my long time clients for recommendations. More often than not the name, "McLeran Roofing" came up, and numerous people said, "And I used them in my last house, too". Sara Lopez, who ran McLeran's business office for many years, recently got her contractor's license and took over the business. Her husband, Martin, is the foreman.
Sara and I talked for months getting all the particulars straight: figuring out style, color, and how it would all go down. I really appreciated a woman's understanding of my concerns and attention to detail, as re-roofing can be messy business.
We had no plywood sheeting and crumbling tiles on the old roof, and I could imagine all too well the mess I was in for. Sara had solutions!
On tear off day, multiple trucks arrived. I was at work, but neighbors all said the McLeran team was both respectful and quiet.
In 3 1/2 days of dealing with the multiple levels of our roof, the team tore off, placed all new plywood sheeting and installed our beautiful new roof. Each night they cleaned up, gathering up their tools and storing them out of sight.
After completion they left us with a bundle of shingles in case we needed to patch something down the road, as colors change every few years. I consider myself as strong, but I couldn't even budge the one bundle. The guys on the McLeran team carried one and sometimes two bundles on their backs, bounding across ladder bridges between our multiple roofs. They were truly amazing!!
They were also competitive in pricing.
We chose Presidential TL, Autumn Blend, and we couldn't be happier!!

Efficient and Reliable Highly recommended.........I was desperate to get a leak repaired before I left for the Christmas holiday and before the El Niño rains started. Called on Monday, Brian came out to inspect the roof on Tuesday, received the contract via email on Wednesday, and on Friday a workman had done the necessary work.......and this at the busiest time of the year! McLeran is an efficient and reliable family-owned company. They will be the ones I call when I need a new roof

Highly Recommend I needed my roof replaced for my house in Sausalito. McLeran Roofing had the best price and by far the best service. Family owned and operated company that continues to have full pride in their work. I absolutely love my roof. The job was quick, clean and they had no problems working with another contractor who installed the skylights at the same time. Highly recommend McLeran Roofing!
